About Sara Raza

Sara Raza most recently curated for the Guggenheim Museum in New York, where she led the third and final phase of the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative and curated the exhibition “But a Storm Is Blowing from Paradise: Contemporary Art of the Middle East and North Africa.” Sara Raza is is a specialist on global curatorial knowledge, with an academic focus on performance-based practice and architectural art history from Central Asia, Caucasus and the Middle East and North Africa. In 2016 she won the 23rd ArtTable New Leadership Award for women under the age of 40.

Sara will discuss how curatorial knowledge has shifted to adapt itself as a fluid practice that exists and works both within and outside of the institutional framework.
